Niche is a new biweekly night at The Social Room, occurring every second and fourth Saturday of the month. Brought to you by Aaron Austen, one of the pioneers of the Columbus techno scene, Niche will feature weekly guest DJs and a sexy combination of tech house, deep house, and techno.
Presenting Technocolor 4, a brilliant release of sophisticated techno by the French duo Masomenos on their label WTM. Joan Costes is a graphic designer and DJ and Adrien de Maublanc – a producer and art director. In addition to producing music, the two have an art/clothing line worth checking out.
The long awaited return of HATW is now here with an exceptionally diverse episode featuring jazz, soul, and Latin sounds coupled with explosive tech house and Balearic beats. Track of the week is All My Life by DBN and Jason Caesar.
If you are looking for a good place to spend your Saturday night in Columbus, check out Quality, a chic dance party concluding Gallery Hop each first Saturday of the month. Started in 2004 by a group of DJs with similar tastes in underground and deep dance music, Quality has seen many homes and tomorrow will be its eleventh time at Basil in the Short North. Resident DJs Jeff Pons and Jason “Lemon” Lyman skillfully deliver a healthy dose of deep house, techno, and even some disco and downtempo.
